The university provides research facilities and services for postgraduate students including an experienced pool of academic staff. The students will be facilitated to do research in a variety of engineering topics based on their interest and aims such as automotive, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, material and much more.
A Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) in Engineering / Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
its equivalent from a recognised university or a Master’s (MQF Level 7) of Science or Technology (non-engineering or engineering technology)
its equivalent from a recognised university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 may be accepted, subject to passing an internal assessment or with evidence of one year working experience
other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 that are accepted by the University’s Senate.
Candidates with Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) who enrolled for Master’s degree programme (MQF Level 7) may apply to convert the enrolment to the Doctorate degree programme (MQF Level 8) within 1 year, subjects to the following provisions:
- Displays competency and ability in conducting research work at Doctorate degree (MQF Level 8);
- Passes a comprehensive internal assessment by the University; and
- Approval from the University’s Senate.
International students are required to have a TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS band 5.0 or its equivalent.
If a student does not meet this requirement, he/she has to attend an intensive course to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
