Pekan, 27 September 2019 – DRB-HICOM University had successfully organised the 1st Research Colloquium 2019 (RC2019) which witnessed 33 presenters; 20 presenters from the Social Sciences field and 13 presenters from the Engineering & Technology field. RC2019 theme ‘’Mobility: Designing the Future & Challenges’’ focused on the opportunities, challenges and recommendations in the mobility ecosystem towards a better future.
This event kicked-off with the keynote speech by the Adjunct Professor of DRB-HICOM University, Professor Dr. Mohd Hassan Mohd Osman entitled “The Future of Mobility”. According to him, the main objective of RC2019 was to provide an extensive platform for researchers and scholars to present their research results and latest findings in all fields of mobility within the automotive ecosystem and to discuss on the practical challenges encountered. He also added that researches are the best way to get solution
Out of 33 presentations, six papers have been selected by the judges to receive awards according to their field. All the award winners for RC2019 are listed as follows:

3- Impact of Financial Literacy among Small Medium Enterprise Owners on Enterprise Performance: A Conceptual Framework Development by Nur Farhana Sudarmoyo @ Suffari, Putri Rozita Tahir.
4- Factors Influencing Entrepreneurial Success on Entrepreneurs in Pekan and Kuantan District: A Conceptual Paper by Ellyziana Abu Bakar, Muhammad Majid, Norhamizah Hashim, Nur Hanis Kamaluddin, Nur Farhana Sudarmoyo @ Suffari.
For Engineering & Technology:
1- Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Rectangular Duct with a Circular Cylinder Turbulence Promoter by Ahmad H.A Hamid, Mohammad S.I.A. Rahman.
2- Prolonged Motorcycle Riding Duration: Can Motorcyclist Ride More Than 2 Hours Non-Stop? by Helmi bin Rashid, Abdul Rahman bin Omar, Sukarnur bin Che Abdullah, Wan Muhammad Syahmi bin Wan Fauzi.
